Overview

What Nano Banana 2 is built for

Nano Banana 2 is a fast image generation and editing model available through fal.ai. It supports both text-to-image generation and image-to-image editing, so the same creative workflow can start from a prompt or from existing visual references.

For creators, that makes it a practical middle lane: faster and more economical than a premium image model, but still flexible enough for campaign drafts, character exploration, product directions, thumbnails, posters, and scene concepts.

Generation

Text-to-image with more room for composition

The text-to-image endpoint accepts a prompt, output count, seed, aspect ratio, output format, safety tolerance, and resolution. It supports common formats like 16:9, 1:1, and 9:16, plus extreme ratios such as 4:1, 1:4, 8:1, and 1:8 for banners, vertical key art, and unusual layouts.

In Kling O1 Studio, Nano Banana 2 is exposed with 1K, 2K, and 4K resolution options, plus up to four outputs per run. That keeps the interface simple while still covering the resolutions most creators need for ideation and production drafts.

Editing

Image Edit uses the same model family and price tier

The edit endpoint uses uploaded image URLs as context for image-to-image generation. That means you can start from a character, object, product photo, or style reference, then ask Nano Banana 2 to transform the image while preserving useful context from the upload.

Nano Banana 2 image generation and image editing share the same fal pricing structure. Inside Kling O1 Studio, the credit cost follows the same rule we discussed for the integration: half of Nano Banana Pro by resolution, rounded to whole credits.

Credits

Lower-cost iteration for image-heavy workflows

Nano Banana Pro costs 25 credits for 1K or 2K outputs and 50 credits for 4K outputs. Nano Banana 2 is priced at half of that tier in Studio: 13 credits for 1K or 2K, and 25 credits for 4K.

That makes Nano Banana 2 a strong default for image-heavy workflows where you need many drafts before choosing the final direction. Use it to explore prompts, framing, and style, then move the best images into Kling O1 video workflows when you are ready to animate or edit.

Workflow

How it fits with Kling O1 Studio

A common workflow is simple: generate still images with Nano Banana 2, pick the strongest frame, then bring that image into Kling O1 for image-to-video, first/last-frame animation, video-to-video, or character editing.

Because Nano Banana 2 supports both fresh generation and reference-based edits, it works well as the image preparation layer before a video run. You can shape characters, costumes, environments, and key frames first, then spend video credits on the versions that are already close to the target.

Start with a fast image draft

Open Image Studio, choose Nano Banana 2, and turn prompts or references into production-ready starting frames.
